Position OverviewThe Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is a critical team member responsible for the development and direction of the Health, Safety and Environmental program for all sites across the organization. This position leads the development and implementation of policies and practices to develop a safety-focused culture ensuring a incident free workplace while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)Supports development and leads execution of overall health, safety and environmental strategy for organizationSupports development and implementation of Crisis Management PlanPlans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programsConducts brand, district and site level safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance with corrective action as necessaryProvides management team with guidance on health, safety and environmental issues that abide by local, state, and federal guidelines and regulationsServes as primary contact for site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case managementMaintains a written log of safety inspections, reports, and correspondenceMaintains and reports incident activity and insurance reconciliation to brand and executive leadershipEducation and ExperienceRequired:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any field or an associate degree in health, safety or the environment (HSE)Associate Safety Professional certification by BCSM required, Certified Safety Professional preferredAt least four years of experience in a workplace safety leadership role in a dynamic and fast paced environmentExpert knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulationsExperience in coaching and training personnel across multiple locationsKnowledgeable in the operation, configuration and utilization of remote monitoring systemsCarwash or automotive safety experience highly preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIntermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products and Smartsheet project management softwareSelf-starter"”able to work independently without direct supervisionExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsAble to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environmentStrong interpersonal skills, able to effectively relate and communicate with team members at all levelsBi-lingual written and oral communication capability a plusPhysical Requirements:Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in colorThe availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call hoursAble to be active outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditionsMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds 50% of travel is required.
