Job Description:
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Strategic Project Manager to join our team in Herndon, VA. The Strategic Project Manager will leverage their strong background in portfolio management to support senior leadership in the coordination and strategic alignment of multiple complex projects. You will directly support the Chief and branch management, ensuring all initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value across the broader portfolio. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing direct oversight and management for two operational branches while working closely with the customerManaging projects at a portfolio level, focusing on high-level strategic alignment rather than daily project executionCollaborating with stakeholders to connect individual project outcomes to broader organizational objectives and mission successProducing concise and actionable executive briefings that drive decision-making, including updates on timelines and risksEngaging with leadership and internal teams to prioritize resources and resolve challenges across the portfolioBuilding and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of workflowsEnsuring portfolio performance meets all requirements and aligns with long-term strategic goals Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED 7+ years of experience in project or portfolio managementExperience managing large-scale portfolios and understanding the interdependencies between projectsAbility to communicate effectively with executive leadership through the creation of professional briefingsExperience with building and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholder groupsExperience managing resources and timelines within frameworks such as Agile or PMBOKExceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail regarding strategic alignment Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in government contracting environments with familiarity in federal regulationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data to drive informed decision-makingProficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project or JIRAExcellent leadership abilities and experience collaborating across diverse departments and teams Clearance Requirements:An active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
