Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description Gpac is partnering with a confidential manufacturing organization seeking a Food Safety & Quality Manager east of Syracuse, NY to support and maintain robust food safety and quality systems at the plant level. This role works closely with the plant operations team to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements. The Food Safety & Quality Manager will play a hands-on role in audits, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Candidates with significant experience may be considered for a director role in place of a manager role. Key Responsibilities: • Verify and maintain food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, sanitation programs, prerequisite programs, manufacturing processes, plant environment, and finished products • Collaborate with operations to initiate and follow through on corrective and preventive actions • Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, customer, and facility food safety and quality standards • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory food safety audits • Actively support implementation, maintenance, and review of the food safety management system • Investigate food safety incidents and ensure appropriate reporting, documentation • Support food safety systems in compliance with government regulations • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and escalate higher-level concerns as needed • Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum two years of experience in the food manufacturing industry • HACCP Certification preferred • Manufacturing environment experience • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship If you're interested and serious, please send your confidential resume to Alana at for immediate consideration!
