A Mentor's primary role as the program mentor is to provide support and guidance to the new administrative staff members.Role and ResponsibilitiesThis includes but is not limited to: Sharing and explaining schedules, forms, and key contact information. Coaching on preparing for anticipated district events and leadership activities. Providing information on APPR for administrators and evaluative expectations. Professional development coaching through leadership goal sheets. Working closely with the Supervisor of Instructional Support & Mentoring to convey the wants and needs of the mentee. Communication and Check-insIn order to stay in tune with the needs of the mentees: Monthly Round Table: Program Mentors are expected to meet once a month with their mentees. Weekly Check-ins: Mentors must check in on their Year One mentees once a week. Format: One-on-one "meetings" can be conducted face-to-face, via email, or by phone call. Confidentiality and SafetyConfidentiality is of the utmost importance.
