Job Full Description Production Packer - Hereford, TX Pay: $17.50/hour Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Must be flexible to work any shift) Schedule: Full-time | Weekends and some holidays required Assignment Type: Temporary - Expected to last through the end of the year Location: Hereford, TX Express Employment Professionals is hiring Production Packers for a warehouse facility in Hereford, TX. This is a temporary, full-time opportunity expected to continue through the end of the year. Candidates will assist with packaging, labeling, and inspecting materials to ensure that production and quality standards are met. Essential Job Functions Gather, measure, weigh, and count materials for packaging. Set up and monitor finished package weights to ensure bags conform to specifications. Set up packer scale weights and check the precision of check scales prior to each run. Continually check finished package weights throughout production. Ensure that finished products are bagged, sealed, and palletized neatly and securely. Pull product samples both prior to packaging and during runs for analysis in the Mini-Lab. Pull samples before production startup to verify conformity to specifications. For government contracts, take one sample per pallet for weight and lab testing. Keep labeled bags available and ready for use, including those for special customers. Attach labels to bags as needed. Clean and sanitize all packing and loading areas (including packing auger areas above Bemis). Mark and label containers and finished products. Inspect packaging to ensure all specifications and quality standards are met. Assist in training new and existing personnel in packaging functions and positions. Job Requirements 2+ years of warehouse or production packing experience preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and some holidays. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
