Job DescriptionJob Description Chief Financial Officer / CFO The CFO provides sales and expense analyses for all departments. Fairly represents the financial condition of the dealership and related companies, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, and maintains accurate records. This position interacts daily with Accounting Associates, Sales Associates, Service Managers, support staff and customers, just to name a few. The Whiteface Ford entities are on a rapid growth path and in need of a CFO looking for a long term future with a lot of growth opportunity.  Job Responsibilities The CFO is a key position that reports to the Dealer Principal. The CFO supports the entire accounting function and financial reporting for our dealership and related entities. This position will work closely with management and other departments to help ensure harmonious and productive operations, which will help maximize the success of the dealerships. Successful Candidates must be able to maintain excellent business relations with customers, both internally and externally. Candidates will also be expected to help develop and motivate accounting associates to ensure that performance metrics are being met or exceeded. The CFO will be responsible for top financial reporting of $100m in annual sales comprised of revenue sources from vehicle sales, parts sales, service sales, body shop sales, truck accessory sales, and manufacturing.  Other essential responsibilities: Prepare complete financial statements and submit to the manufacture and management in accordance with established timeframesInterpret and analyze financial statementsKeep the General Manager informed on the trends and cash needs of the businessDevelop and maintain an effective cash management systemManage the day to day accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policiesClose the books accurately each monthPrepare and submit required statements and reportsManage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in placeAssist department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports and in creating action plans needed to improve their operationRespond to request for information and assistance in a timely mannerWork with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense in order to meet or exceed budget and grow the businessWork with staff to ensure that corporate initiatives are attainedTop Level HR management of 110 employeesIncome Tax Planning Direct management of 8 accounting staff ControllerAssistant Controller6 Staff Accountant Requirements Master’s Degree in Public AccountingTen years of accounting experience, at least three in a Controller or CFO positionPrevious automotive/dealership experience is a plusExcellent communication skills Benefits Competitive SalaryMatching 401KHealth, Dental & Vision insurance packageUp to five weeks of paid time off including holidays
