Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Wireless Network Performance Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing and optimizing wireless network performance through comprehensive mobile and stationary RF testing. This vital position involves collecting field data that supports engineering teams in improving coverage, capacity, and quality of service across cutting-edge 5G technologies. Please note that this role requires 100% travel. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of testing projects across multiple states. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Drive Testing: Employ drive test equipment like TEMS Pocket, X-CAL, and QXDM, performing tests in vehicles or on foot to gather precise RF data along designated routes and clusters. Conduct Speed Tests to evaluate network performance. Data Collection & Upload: Accurately log data for RSRP, SINR, PCI, throughput, and scanner information, efficiently uploading results to centralized servers for comprehensive post-processing and validation. Adhere to established test file naming conventions for easy data management. Reporting: Foster clear communication with internal teams and client contacts, promptly escalating issues when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are an advantage. Strong familiarity with wireless technologies, including LTE, VoLTE, CDMA, 5G, MIMO, and Carrier Aggregation is highly desirable. 1-3 years of experience in RF testing or related field technician positions is preferred. Experience with DAS, small cells, or CRAN installations is a plus. Proficient computer skills are essential for data analysis and reporting. A valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends is essential. Ability to work overtime as needed to meet project demands.
