Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace (Hauppauge, NY)Salary: Open / DOE | Full-Time | On-Site A growing aerospace engineering and manufacturing company in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer with direct aerospace manufacturing experience. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and supporting advanced manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, design, and improve production processes and manufacturing workflows Implement lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, cost, and cycle time Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and flowcharts Conduct time studies, line balancing, and process optimization Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate new methods Identify bottlenecks and develop corrective actions Support introduction of new tools, equipment, and technologies Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and safety regulations Assist with facility layout, workstation design, and production line planning Perform root cause analysis for quality or efficiency issues Train production staff on new processes and procedures Track KPIs related to productivity, cost reduction, and quality Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies Experience with process mapping, time studies, and workflow optimization Proficiency with CAD software and ERP systems Strong analytical and problem?solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Aerospace manufacturing experience required Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement Experience with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies Working Conditions Full?time, on?site role Occasional travel to vendors or production sites Requires PPE in certain areas May involve standing/walking for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Salary open based on experience Paid time off Medical, dental, life insurance FSA options 401(k) with company match Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $120,000.00
