Methods Engineer / Planning EngineerLocation: Hauppauge, NY Schedule: Full-time, On-site (no hybrid or remote) Status: Direct Hire Overview A leading aerospace manufacturer in Hauppauge is seeking a Methods/Planning Engineer to support production planning, process development, and manufacturing optimization. Aerospace experience is required for this role. The company has an immediate need and is looking for candidates who can step in quickly and contribute to a fast-paced, highly technical environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and routing plans Translate engineering drawings, specifications, and models into clear, actionable production steps Evaluate current manufacturing methods and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput Support production teams by troubleshooting process issues and providing technical guidance Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure manufacturability and compliance with aerospace standards Create tooling requirements, process sheets, and job travelers Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities Ensure all processes meet industry, customer, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience is required 3+ years of experience in methods engineering, planning engineering, or manufacturing engineering Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications Familiarity with aerospace materials, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes Experience creating routings, work instructions, and process documentation Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing planning tools Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills Ability to work fully on-site in Hauppauge (no hybrid or remote options) Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $85,000.00 - $140,000.00
