CONSTRUCTION COORDINATORBrooksource Onsite- Harrodsburg, KY Position HighlightsOnsite 5 days/week 50 hours/week anticipated; day shift with occasional nights/weekends Seeking candidates with an electrical background in an industrial setting Position Summary Observe and coordinate construction activities for Project Engineering contractors across our utility client. This role advises management on contractor safety compliance, work quality, productivity, scheduling, and anticipated problems, while coordinating efforts between multiple contractors and Company operations. Key ResponsibilitiesObserve and monitor contractor construction activities at all facilities Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety best practices; recommend corrective action when needed Identify, investigate, and escalate contractor performance issues to management and engineering as required Monitor contractor work for compliance with contract schedule, specifications, and quality requirements Review and comment on design documents as required Build and maintain positive relationships with company personnel, customers, contractors, and Project Engineering Document daily contractor activities through written descriptions and photographs Coordinate work between multiple contractors and Company operations; proactively advise management of potential issues Ensure compliance with Company Policy including LOTO, hot work, and confined space requirements Coordinate the interface between impacted departments and contractors regarding safety, property protection, site regulations, schedules, material deliveries, and progress reporting QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of supervisory/project experience preferred; hands-on industrial construction experience required. Civil, electrical, mechanical, operational, or QA/QC background preferred. Electrical background specifically sought. Industry Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of OSHA and site safety standards; proficiency in quality standards for materials and equipment; advanced knowledge of equipment erection and installation methods Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability and proven effectiveness working with management, contractors, and their employees Communication: Above-average written and verbal communication skills; strong team-oriented mindset required Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred: Project management certification or specialized construction management training; experience at electric generation sites
