Active Directory, Printers & Server AdministrationHybrid (Onsite 2 days/wk)DescriptionDiversified Systems is searching for an Active Directory, Printers & Server Administrationwho will be responsible for advanced technical work in support of highly complex and critical technology systems that support PSPs Active Directory, Printers and Server Administration.This individual must be able to comprehend enterpriseIT policies, initiatives and perform the necessary actions to comply with these policies. When necessary, assist users and other IT groups when troubleshooting issues and act as a liaison with vendors. Work assignments are provided with specific instructions and objectives along with the expected completion dates.This position provides technical execution of their assigned duties and responsibilities and functions as the technical expert and agency point of contact for infrastructure server administration, Active Directory and Printer administration. This position supports IT Staff and the PSP business. This position is responsible for systems deployed in all facilities, field sites, commonwealth managed data centers, and disaster recovery locations.ResponsibilitiesDesign and supervise the implementation of solutions for agency use of Microsoft Active Directory, including CUPSS. Establish Active Directory security group provisioning standards, naming conventions, Group Policy Object deployment, and domain controller deployment, operation, and maintenance.Act as the agency point of contact for communications regarding the Commonwealth's implementation of Microsoft Active Directory, user account provisioning services, and antivirus and intrusion protection products.Use CUPSS to create Active Directory accounts, including resource accounts, distribution lists, service accounts, test accounts, training accounts, and security groups.Approve and deny privileged accounts in CUPSS.Troubleshoot account issues.Configure user accounts.Assist end user support with user transfers, group memberships, and password resets.Suspend and reactivate user accounts in CUPSS.Provide cadet and law enforcement officer account management.Design and supervise the implementation of standards for deployment of infrastructure server operational roles, including file share servers and print share servers.Establish and implement standards for server and file share access control and auditing.Add and remove user permissions to directories and resources on all PSP file and print servers.Create and manage print queues on all PSP file and print servers.Troubleshoot mapped drive issues.Manage file and print server drive space.Unlock files on file and print servers.Serve as a data restoration intermediary for the backup team.Create, update, and migrate drive shares on file and print servers.Perform data recovery on file and print servers using Shadow Copy.Ensure and correct discrepancies in file and print server configuration.Perform data moves between file and print servers.Manage printer management servers.Establish and implement standards for printer administration and auditing.Troubleshoot printer issues with customers and vendor representatives.Set up and configure network printers.Provide installation assistance for all network printers installed at PSP sites.Deploy printer firmware updates and perform stall and maintain printer management software on dedicated application servers used to manage network printers.Keep printer drivers updated on all PSP file and print servers.Create printer installation procedures.Assist with inventory tracking of PSP printers.Participate in agency disaster recovery and continuity of government planning.Function as liaison between the agency and outside agencies or vendors as necessary to resolve operational problems.Perform work on special projects.Be knowledgeable of, adhere to, and contribute to established service management processes and procedures.Be knowledgeable of, adhere to, and contribute to established knowledge management processes and procedures.Be knowledgeable of, adhere to, and contribute to established digital accessibility regulations and standards.Perform related work as necessary.Respond to after-hours requests for technical assistance on an as-needed basis.Be able to pass PSP background checks related to employment and CJIS policies.Perform other related duties as assigned, including those outlined in the Department's Continuity of Government Plan when the plan is activated.Respond to the designated alternate or secondary location when directed in response to a catastrophic incident.Work is assigned by the Operations Manager, who outlines general instructions, objectives, and operational support and maintenance responsibilities.
