A perioperative registered nurse (RN) specializing in post-anesthesia care is sought for a contract position in Harlem, GA. This role is integral to an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, individualized, high-quality patient care in a perioperative setting. Nurses in this position follow evidence-based protocols and uphold professional standards in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Deliver patient-centered care adapted to diverse populations, ensuring cultural sensitivity and patient engagement in care planning. Collaborate effectively across disciplines to coordinate care and maintain timely, accurate documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to enhance clinical outcomes. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering professional growth and contributing to workforce development. Uphold compliance with organizational policies, safety goals, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Less than one year of experience acceptable with successful completion of accredited nursing program and clinical hours; prior direct patient care experience preferred. Proficient in English communication and basic computer skills. Strong critical thinking, time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with composure and decisiveness. Schedule: Day shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week. Availability for varied days, minimum every other weekend, on-call as needed. Minimum two major and two minor holiday shifts.
