Responsibilities include cleaning, paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing, all while delivering outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities: Execute standardized work processes efficiently Engage in team-oriented problem solving and continuous improvement Assist in training new associates under the guidance of a Reconditioning Associate Lead Conduct various cosmetic reconditioning tasks including paint touch-up and buffing Perform thorough cosmetic and final quality inspections Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to CarMax 5S standards Identify defects and recommend appropriate repair methods Support auction processes and vehicle logistics Provide outstanding customer service consistently Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership Job Requirements: Complete all required training, both online and hands-on Meet performance standards for Reconditioning Associate roles Successfully complete workstation certifications Accurately read, interpret, and maintain records Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Handle manual tasks and lift objects weighing up to 50lbs Communicate well with customers and associates Participate in training across all areas of the inventory process Working Conditions: You will work indoors and outdoors, occasionally in noisy or inclement conditions Expected to stand or walk for extended periods Wear CarMax-approved clothing while on duty Follow CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA safety standards Adhere to CarMax policies regarding attendance, asset protection, and professional appearance About CarMax: CarMax is the largest retailer of used cars in the U.S., focused on delivering an honest, transparent, and high-integrity experience for customers.
