Job Description:
HR Generalist (Contract) Beacon Hill's client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support core human resources operations during a defined contract period from March 30th through August 14th. This role plays a critical part in delivering day-to-day HR services across talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee onboarding. The HR Generalist will work closely with the Head of People and Culture, providing hands-on operational support while also contributing to improvements in HR processes and practices. This position offers broad exposure across HR functions and the opportunity to make an immediate, meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & New Hire Experience Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts, including posting roles, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews Partner with hiring managers to develop clear job descriptions and efficient, team-aligned hiring workflows Coordinate with Finance and IT to ensure smooth onboarding and a positive first-day experience for new hires Prepare and distribute employment-related documentation such as offer letters and promotion notices Manage background screening and E-Verify completion Employee Support & Workplace Engagement Act as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and workplace questions Support the Head of People and Culture with employee relations matters, including investigations and issue resolution Contribute to programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention HR Compliance & Operational Practices Monitor and support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and assist with internal or external HR audits Support the maintenance, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures Assist in documenting and improving HR processes, dashboards, and operational tools Learning & Development Partner with the Head of People and Culture to support the development and delivery of training and development initiatives Track required compliance and regulatory training to ensure completion Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Process payroll through ADP for approximately 110 employees (primarily exempt) Administer benefits programs, including billing reconciliation, COBRA reporting, and open enrollment support Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field At least 4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a Generalist, HRBP, or stand-alone HR role Practical experience managing payroll, preferably using ADP Preferred HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP Proven ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and influence across all levels of the organization Strong judgment and commitment to confidentiality Experience designing, implementing, or improving HR processes Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
