Escrow AssistantContract with potential to convertLocation: Half Moon Bay CA. Fully On-siteSchedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pmPay range: $26-33/hourAbout the Role:We're seeking a detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to support a busy escrow team in delivering smooth, accurate, and timely real estate transactions. This role contributes to both pre-closing and post-closing processes and requires strong communication, customer service, and administrative skills. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Support pre-closing and post-closing tasksProvide administrative and transactional support to the Escrow OfficerAssist with document preparation, data input, balancing figures, disbursements, and money transfersMaintain communication with clients, agents, lenders, and all transaction partiesReview contracts, commitments, and required documents in preparation for closingSubmit post-closing packages to lenders for funding authorizationEnsure all parties receive accurate settlement statements prior to closingCoordinate collection of information needed to finalize sales or refinancesMaintain transparent communication with team members and escalate issues when neededAssist with electronic recordings with county officesSupport compliance, workflow accuracy, and internal process standardsMaintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitudePerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to understand escrow processes, state/local requirements, and real estate regulationsFamiliarity with basic compliance guidelines (e.g., RESPA, TILA, and industry best practices)Strong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with numbers, proration calculations, and transaction-related mathExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and respond to shifting deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong customer service orientationPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in an escrow or transaction-processing role a plusEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:• The California Fair Chance Act• Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance• Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers• San Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
