With a focus on reliability, performance, and customer partnership, Forge helps companies across industries keep their operations moving with dependable equipment and expert support.Position OverviewForge Truck Centers is seeking a Heavy Truck Diesel Technician to lead day-to-day shop operations and drive performance across our service team.This role is designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume environment - someone who can manage technicians, optimize workflow, enforce standards, and deliver consistent results. You will play a critical role in setting the pace of the shop while partnering closely with the Branch Manager to maximize productivity, quality, and throughput.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Mechanical ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced diagnostics (computer-based systems provided)Work on electrical systems, wiring, and emissions systemsRepair driveline components, suspension, transmissions, and rear endsExperience with Mack engines and Mack diagnostic software preferredStep in on complex or high-risk repairs to ensure quality and efficiencySafety & Quality ControlEnforce all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and compliance standardsEnsure tools, equipment, and work areas meet operational standardsInspect work in progress and completed repairs for accuracy and qualityIdentify and eliminate repeat issues through corrective action and coachingWorkflow & Efficiency ManagementDrive bay utilization and technician efficiencyReduce downtime and eliminate bottlenecksPrioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines and commitmentsBalance workload to maximize throughput without sacrificing qualityCommunication & AccountabilityPartner with Branch Manager on daily priorities and executionProvide updates on shop performance, challenges, and operational needsDocument performance issues, safety incidents, and corrective actionsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required7+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experienceProven ability to manage technicians and shop workflowExperience with Cummins, Mack and Paccar engines requiredStrong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and decision-making skillsDirect and effective communication styleHigh level of accountability and operational disciplineMust provide own hand toolsCompensation & Benefits$35.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE) 50 hours/week expectedHealth InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays401(k) with Company Match
