About the Role: As a Robotics Automation Specialist, you will be essential in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers by providing proactive control automation and technical support. Your skills will be vital in troubleshooting complex control systems, analyzing performance metrics, and initiating continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems while implementing innovative projects with state-of-the-art technology, such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, and SCADA devices. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet our customers' needs swiftly and accurately. What We Offer: Competitive compensation packages, including comprehensive healthcare benefits from Day 1 401(k) matching program Up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave Safety gear, including lightweight fire-resistant daily wear and composite toe safety shoes Your Key Responsibilities Include: Act as the site expert in maintaining automation systems crucial for operations Collaborate with building Operations, Engineering teams, and various support teams on optimizing MHE systems Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks Monitor MHE metrics, partnering with maintenance/operations to address system performance challenges Provide first-level escalation support for technicians both locally and remotely Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes for continuous improvement Conduct system assessments to enhance MHE performance Communicate technical issues and project timelines effectively to managers and teams Perform physical tasks such as moving up to 49lbs, climbing ladders, and engaging in manual dexterity BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent experience 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience Experience with PLC-controlled automation in a continuous process environment Proficiency in Ladder Logic and structured programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs Knowledge of electrical theory, robotics, and automated equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with HMI and control network components Familiarity with motor control systems and preventive maintenance procedures 1+ years of SCADA systems experience Experience in hardware/software integration and real-time systems 4+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $112,500.00 annually. Your Amazon package will also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location.
