In this role, you'll work alongside a highly skilled imaging team, performing radiographic procedures independently with professionalism and technical expertise. A minimum of one shift per month is required to maintain PRN status.What You'll DoPerform high-quality radiographic examinations using proper positioning and techniqueSet up and utilize radiation protection shielding for patient and staff safetyProcess and transmit digital images accurately and efficientlyOperate imaging equipment safely and report equipment issues or needed repairsMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked radiology areaComplete computer-based order entry and documentationAssist radiologists and physicians during procedures involving contrast media or fluoroscopyPerform portable X-ray exams as neededPrepare and instruct patients for radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, or nuclear medicine examsMaintain accurate records in accordance with departmental guidelinesTransport inpatients and outpatients to and from the Radiology Department as neededRequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDCompletion of an ACR-approved Radiologic Technology programARRT certification (or eligibility with plans to complete boards)Current Iowa Permit to PracticeCurrent BLS certification
