Store Lead

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on leader to help run daily operations in our discount bin store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active on the sales floor and delivering great customer service.Hours: Monday - Thursday 11:00AM - 6:00PM,Saturdays 11:00AM - 4:00PMStore OperationsPerform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and basic reportsEnsure bins are stocked, organized, and rotated according to pricing schedulesManage restocking days, product resets, and markdown transitionsMaintain store cleanliness, safety, and loss-prevention standardsCustomer ServiceProvide friendly, helpful customer service on the sales floorResolve basic customer complaints or issues professionallyMonitor crowd flow during busy days and promotional eventsPromote a positive, fast-paced shopping experienceInventory & MerchandisingAssist with sorting, staging, and stocking incoming merchandiseMonitor bin conditions and remove damaged or unsafe itemsHelp track shrink, damages, and product flowFollow pricing and signage guidelines accuratelyCash Handling & POSOperate point-of-sale system accuratelyPerform basic cash counts and drawer reconciliationEnsure associates follow proper cash-handling proceduresQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of retail experience (supervisory experience preferred)Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environmentFlexible availability, including weekends and holidaysPreferredPrior experience in discount, liquidation, or bin store retailBasic leadership or key-holder experienceFamiliarity with POS systems and cash handlingSkills & CompetenciesStrong work ethic and reliabilityClear communication and team leadership skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilityCustomer-focused mindsetAbility to multitask and prioritize during peak trafficWorking Conditions:Frequent walking and standingFrequent bending, stooping, and kneelingFrequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move furniture and pallets.Frequent and proper lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.Occasional exposure to outside weather conditionsOccasional or regular drivingJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceExperience:Management: 1 year (Required)Ability to Commute:Great Bend, KS Required)Ability to Relocate:Great Bend, KS 67530: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
