We are a global leader specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components for original equipment manufacturers, specialty distributors, hardware chains and major home centers.What Will You Get To Do: Assist in supporting worker health, safety, security, and OSHA's health and safety programs, procedures, training, work practices, standard work, and controls Support employee training as required by local, state, and federal regulations as well as those required by KV policies or procedures; Learn to conduct and develop ergonomic, job hazard, or standard work analyses Assist in the preparation and presentation of job hazard and risk assessment analyses Participate in the investigation and analysis of near misses, accidents, injuries, and resulting incident trends Attend Safety Committees / Safety Team meetings and report associated safety concerns Participate in KV's Environmental, Health & Safety (SQDC) audits, training matrix reviews, and Gemba walks Support the creation of employee learnings for health and safety of standard work, work permits, confined space, fall protection, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, first aid/CPR, industrial hygiene, and hazardous material/emergency responses Assist employees with training materials and topics related to orientation and on-the-job training Document and support inspections of equipment for appropriate machine guarding, safe operation, and safe working processes Support special projects to improve health and safety goalsWhat You Will Bring: Currently pursuing a Bachelor in Environmental Health & Safety, Biology, and or Chemistry, Two (2) years of completed college/university study Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, previous experience with safety systems Analytical with strong troubleshooting skills; ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment Cross-functional skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage and drive projects to completion
