Entity: Customers & ProductsJob Family Group: HSSE GroupJob Description: Job SummaryThe Loss Prevention Specialist is a member of the Fleet Loss Prevention WPV Team, whose primary objective is to identify and reduce financial risks in our US retail business.They work in partnership with the HSE, Operations, E&C, and Finance teams to develop and deploy programs that will reduce risks to people, product and finances. This includes recommending and deploying product protection barriers, mentoring Team Members on cash handling policies. They build relationships with Organized Retail Crime Groups, assist stores in building cases and driving prosecution while deploying and managing existing and new Loss Prevention systems.They work with the bp Global Security network to share best practices and standardize where possible. They compile and analyse data to assess vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness and identify the need for additional measures.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify & reduce people and financial risks by:Developing and managing Loss Prevention initiatives and strategiesLiaising on policies and procedure technical content reducing incidents and lossesMentor teams on loss prevention best practices such as:Ensuring personal safety during workplace violence and theft eventsMaximizing value of monitoring toolsSharing the disruption value of mitigation barriersManage Loss Prevention relationships with site management to support Loss Prevention initiativesLiaising with P&C, legal, operations, finance and payment teams on theft investigations and concerns Facilitate Organized Retail Crime Association (ORCA) relationshipsJob Holder Requirements(Minimum education, experience & capabilities)Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceExperience3 years practical experience in retail loss prevention (convenience/grocery preferred)Industry expertise and proven leadership skills and loss preventions/cash handling policiesPractical experience in developing and deploying disruption tools for product protection and investigative case management systems.Experience coaching, mentoring, and influencing site management with Loss Prevention initiativesLPC/LPQ certifications preferredSkills & CompetenciesDemonstrates strong understanding of operational processes & proceduresExperienced in investigations with telephonic interviews strongly preferred (Wicklander-Zulawski)Experienced with exception-based reporting is a plus (ZEBRA, APRISS, Agilence, etc.)Well organized and solid Time Management SkillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional groupsRelationship Building through Influence without Authority ModelOther ConsiderationsMust have a valid driver’s licenseTravel up to 30%Remote Type: This position is a fully remote roleRelocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocationWhy join usAt bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and ambitious environment. (80,000 - 115,000 (Minimum & Maximum)) *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. This position is eligible for US Benefits Select. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees).
