Your responsibilities will include: Conducting wreck salvage operations and performing underwater repairs. Carrying out harbor and waterway clearance missions. Contributing to construction and demolition projects. Participating in search and rescue operations. Engaging in deep submergence and saturation dives, potentially living and working at extreme depths for prolonged periods. Launching and recovering SEAL-delivered vehicles from submarines. Qualifications and Requirements No college degree is required to serve as a Military Diver, but you must possess the mental and physical resilience necessary for this demanding role. To qualify, you must: Be between the ages of 18 and 34. Meet specific eyesight requirements: 20/40 in the best eye and 20/70 in the worst eye, correctable to 20/25 with no color blindness. Achieve the minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score: GS+MC+EI=170 or VE+MK+MC+CS=220 or VE+AR=103 MC=51. Pass a physical examination for divers. Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance.
