Loading Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards. * Assists in loading and/or working from trailers at heights up to 14 feet with fall protection. * Responsible for safely pulling and backing trailers into bays using a shag truck; training provided. * Uses a digital camera to obtain photos of each completed load to be uploaded into customers' files. * Ability to use nail guns, crowbars, and hammers. * Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines. Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings to calculate weights and determine appropriate lifting methods. Possesses solid math skills, including working with decimals and fractions. * Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required. * Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
