Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Gordo, Alabama

This opportunity calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The role is based in Gordo, AL, on a Multi-specialty unit primarily focused on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care. Candidates must have the flexibility to float across various units and hospitals within the system. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Post-Care Unit (PCU) specializing in medical and surgical patients. Manage patient care with a focus on pain management, mobility, and complication prevention. Deliver patient-centered care to improve recovery outcomes in a 24/7 acute care environment. Collaborate with team leaders and ancillary staff to maintain a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment. Maintain a professional nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with support from Team Leaders as needed. Float between units and hospitals as required to meet changing patient care needs. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Registered Nurse license for Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted). Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current OR Red Cross certification. Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred; candidates with 18 months under the highest professional license and at least 1 year recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty will be considered. Registration with NURSYS required. Schedule: 36 hours per week offered, primarily within Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU). Holiday shifts as required. Every other weekend rotation.
