Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.What You'll Be DoingPerform those duties necessary to repair or maintain mobile equipment.Repair and rebuild mobile equipment engines and component parts.Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on our large offroad mobile mining equipment including pit loaders, yard loaders, haul trucks, excavators, mobile crushing and screening plants, service trucks, light duty vehicles, and other auxiliary vehicles used in our facilities.Make minor repairs and adjustments, inspect and grease/lubricate mobile equipment.Will perform other miscellaneous duties as may be requested.What We’re Looking ForStrong mechanical aptitude and the capability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile equipmentAbility to understand and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety practicesAwareness of safe work habits while working around heavy machinery and moving equipmentPhysical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor and indoor industrial environmentsAdaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a collaborative approach to supporting operational needsDiesel Tech experience or education, industry experience working on "big yellow" iron (offroad construction or mining equipment)Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background checkSome positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testingWork EnvironmentRole operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.What We Offer$34.28 per hourBenefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and PensionUnion paid vacation, sick leave and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / DisabledAs part of our hiring process, we may use AI-assisted tools to support the screening and evaluation of candidate applications and interviews.
