Apprentice Collision Technician

J.B.A. Collision Center is looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our team!The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.ResponsibilitiesAssist technicians with identifying parts required for repair by reviewing repair orders, work orders, and Body Shop Manager estimate notesLearn to adjust, replace, and repair various truck and trailer components, including:Sheet metal and panel repairsFiberglass repairsBasic fabrication and weldingInstallation and alignment of truck cab body componentsIntroductory electrical and mechanical repairsSupport vehicle tear down and inspection procedures to identify additional or hidden repairsAssist with road testing of vehicles when necessary to ensure repair qualityCommunicate additional damage or repair needs to the body shop estimator or supervisorMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentFollow dealership, safety, and warranty guidelines at all timesActively learn manufacturer repair processes and dealership standardsPerform assigned work accurately and efficiently under the supervision of senior techniciansProgressively develop technical skills with the goal of advancing into a full technician roleQualificationsInterest in learning collision repair, welding, suspension, or framework (experience is a plus but not required)Willingness to train, learn new skills, and accept feedbackBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power toolsASE Certifications are not required but willingness to pursue certifications is preferredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordStrong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitudeBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance (single or family)Life and AD&D insurance (single, spouse, or child)Disability, cancer, critical illness, and other supplemental insurances through American FidelityCompetitive PTO that renews annuallyPaid holidays401(k) with company matchPay is commensurate with experience and training progression.J.B.A. Collision Center is an equal opportunity employer. xijylhu We prohibit discrimination or harassment of any kind based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
