Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.Assists with the analysis and design of lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnelPrepares and maintains detailed layouts of processes and related equipmentConfers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processesDevelops work aids and/or documentation for products in order to train assembly personnelApplies statistical methods and performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiencyRepresents manufacturing and/or engineering on cross-functional teamsSupports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedAvailable for travel as requiredEducation/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:Min of three years related experienceExperience in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques preferredExperience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar programs; CNC programming experience desiredStrong knowledge in written product specificationsAbility to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing processPossesses strong analytical and problem solving skillsPossesses quality orientation and high attention to detailPossesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the companyPossesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)Experience in ERP systems, SAP desiredDisclaimer: This job description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required for this role.This position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
