Summary: Under the direction of management, this position works with internal and external customers to coordinate all matters as they relate to customer safety compliance; including the coordination and tracking of customer/company training and requirements, managing customer compliance portals, managing the drug/alcohol and background program for field jobs, assisting in customer safety audits as necessary, etc. Education: High School (Minimum or Equivalent)Associates or Bachelor's degree in a Safety-related discipline, any EHS-related certifications, OR previous administrative experience in a Safety Department is preferred but not required. Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer safety compliance OR as an office assistant, office administrator, or in another relevant position requiredStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is requiredExcellent time management, organizational skills, and communication skills requiredKnowledge of General Industry EHS programs is a plus but not requiredEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.Assumes responsibility for managing and updating contractor compliance portals to ensure the company is in good standing with customers. Will require coordinating requests with other departments in the company. Assumes responsibility for processing, coordinating, updating, maintaining, and reporting employee background, drug and alcohol screenings. Ensures employees are current and in compliance. Responsible for agency audits regarding background, drug, and alcohol screenings. Assumes responsibility for record retention of all types of training and certification records for the company. Responsible for organizing, tracking, updating, and reporting on all records. Assumes responsibility for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking employee qualifications and required training for field jobs. Responsible for attending necessary customer site safety forums, pre-job meetings, turnaround reviews, etc. Responsible for assisting the Safety Department in any customer or third-party EHS-related audits. Responsible for driving an exceptional safety culture by encouraging and demonstrating safe behaviors.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.Available to work overtime and answer after-hours emergency phone calls.
