Night Shift- 6pm - 6am Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentPosition SummaryWe are looking for a Plant Operator to work at our Processing Plant in Clayton, Iowa. This is an above-ground position outside of the mine and is responsible for controlling the operations of our automated plant through the use of computerized control equipment. This is a dynamic operation with constantly evolving conditions that require the plant operator to respond to new responsibilities when presented. This person must be able to quickly and accurately collect and analyze data in order to quickly make changes and improvements when needed. This is a career position working as a member of a great team with an established company that offers excellent salaries and full benefits!Primary ResponsibilitiesOperate measure and control devices, testing equipment, and material handling equipment Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specificationsOperate equipment such as pumps, valves, conveyors, dryers, and belt filtersUnderstand the process startup, shutdown, under flow and over flow interpretationsPerform control room operations, process flow, floatex, belt filter, thickener, floc system, and dryer operationsCollect and analyze data to quickly make changes and improvements when neededReport any malfunctions or abnormalities immediately and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipmentComply with all company standards and regulations Qualifications & RequirementsUse Microsoft Excel for data entryEffectively communicate and coordinate with coworkers and supervisorsProficiently speak and write EnglishStand for 6-12 hours on uneven sandy/rocky surfaces and bend or stoopWork up to 12-hour shifts Climb on and off equipment and laddersWork at heightsWear a half-mask respirator for up to 12 hours at a timeLift 60 to 80 pounds without mechanical assistanceSelf-motivate and work with minimal supervisionWork in damp, dimly lit and confined work areasEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious related experience given priorityCertifications & LicensesMSHA Part 48 certification required (training available on-site)Valid driver's license required for all Pattison Company employees unless deemed non-essential to the position by HR.
