Job Description:
Accounts Payable Clerk The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures that vendors are paid correctly, financial records are maintained, and company policies and accounting standards are followed. Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests Verify invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and coding Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records Maintain vendor files and resolve invoice discrepancies Assist with month-end closing and audits Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software Advanced level Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Power Point. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks Ability to remain calm when encountering stresses and pressure. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
