Logistics Coordinator/Scheduler The Logistics Coordinator at TXIT is responsible for supporting and executing daily logistics operations, including truck, rail, vessel, and tank movements. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can ensure the accurate flow of commodities through the terminal, maintain timely communications with internal teams and external stakeholders, and support real-time updates through systems such as CommTrac. Additionally, supporting and demonstrating the company's core values of Safety and Environmental Stewardship, Integrity and Accountability in All Actions, Caring for Customers, Co-workers, Company and Community, Quality Focused through Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence. This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager or their designee. Roles: * Truck & Rail Coordination: Schedule, monitor, and document truck and rail movements. Confirm BO Ls, manage setouts, pull lists, and monitor holding tracks. Ensure accurate railcar counts and timely rail notifications for Class 1 carriers. * Vessel Operations Support: Assist with berth scheduling and loading/discharge updates. Maintain visibility on pump times, dock readiness, and inspector notifications. Track NO Rs, laycans, and demurrage-sensitive operations. * Inventory Control: Input and reconcile data in CommTrac and shared spreadsheets. Ensure accurate alignment between physical inventory and digital reporting. Notify relevant parties of tank transitions, swaps, and out-of-spec product risks. * Documentation & Reporting: Prepare loading summaries, daily shift reports, and transportationlogs. Updateinventory spreadsheets andmaintainaudit-readyfiles. Supportcompliance and customer documentation standards. * Communication & Coordination: Interface with Operations, maintenance, marine, and customer service teams. Respond promptly to requests from customers, inspectors, or management. * CommTrac System Utilization: Maintain timely and accurate entries in CommTrac for rail, vessel, and truck traffic. Identify and report system errors or user challenges to the supervisor. Support implementation of system enhancements. Responsibilities: * Communicate with vessel agents and barge companies to ensure arrival and departure of all vessels and Ocean-Going Barges to and from TIT docks are arranged and schedule is executed. * Responsible fortruck loading and ensuringall open ordersare audited weeklyandnew ordersare input intoTweigh * Send TxIT management/Staff, Customers, Agents, Inspectors, and surveyors daily updates on each vessel and barges scheduled to berth at TxIT in the next 7 days. * Ensure Pilots are set 12 hours prior to expected berthing or sailing slack water for all inbound and outbound vessels and ocean-going barges. * Review and verify all Facility Access Gate Lists supplied by agents and barge lines, prior to passing on to Security for access to Terminal * Track railcar and unit train throughput, including missing railcars, bad order railcars, GSV, and post-discharge ethanol railcar tracking * Track barge operations on Fleeting Dock Log, including tender time, all-fast,commence, complete, release, and sail time from terminal * Thorough knowledge of terminal Customer scheduling requirements. * Maintain and distribute customer inventories daily. * Vessel/Barge/Rail Invoicing * Resolvingdelivery problems. * Recommend updates and improvements tologisticssupervisor. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: * MinimumBachelor'sdegreeorequivalent 5+ years'work experience in the maritime industry * Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel * Mustdemonstratean attention to detail and work for accuracy andproficiency * Must be highly motivated, self-starter whopossessesstrong interpersonal skills, capable of building strong positiverelationships,andpossessesstrong analytical skills. * Continuously uphold company core values. * Specialized training and certificationsmaybe berequiredtobe completedandmaintained. * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card. * Mustpossessand maintain a valid US driver's license. * Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check. Measurables/KPIs * CommTrac entry compliance: 100% real-time input within standard * Railcar error rate: * BOL discrepancies: Zero tolerance * Daily inventory accuracy: 100% alignment with operations * Communication score: >90% * Incident escalation response time: Physical Demands: * Must be able to perform work wearing PPE including, but not limited to rain gear, FRC, hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. * Respiratory protection fit-testing, pulmonary function testing, and fit for duty exam ifrequired * Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, unassisted. * Prolongedperiodssitting at a desk and working at a computer.
