Job Description A successful agricultural operation is seeking a Grain Operations Supervisor to manage a facility in Missouri. REPORTS TO: Location Manager DEPARTMENT: Grain Department EEO Classification: Operative (semi-skilled) Primary Purpose: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of grain elevator equipment and personnel. General Description: Responsible for receiving, shipping, monitoring, blending grain, and maintaining equipment while adhering to Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations, Policies, and Procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Ensure compliance with safety standards through regular inspections and prompt reporting of issues. Adhere to all State and Federal DOT Rules and Regulations. Understand and follow all Policies and Procedures. Operate equipment and vehicles according to company policies and relevant laws. Assist in the preventive maintenance program and document all activities. Coordinate inbound grain receiving and segregation processes. Monitor contractors and track compliance. Maintain facility grounds, including mowing, weed control, and snow removal. Monitor temperature cables and grain inventory quality to ensure exceptional standards. Communicate daily updates on activities and goals with the Location Manager. Lead initiatives for grain quality, inventory control, and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Keep the facility in good appearance and operational condition. Familiarize yourself with inventory and measurement procedures. Be prepared to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings as required. Assist with facility improvements and budget management alongside the management team. Help set and implement operational goals for your location and personal development. Provide courteous and efficient grain handling services. Operate the receiving control room and grain dryers. Perform critical operational tasks to ensure the facility operates safely and effectively. Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including elevators and buildings. Adapt to working in a grain handling environment. Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely. Load railcars if applicable. OTHER DUTIES: Foster team morale and commitment to achieving goals. Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making skills. Maintain a positive demeanor with customers and colleagues. Deliver exceptional customer service. Report all injuries, no matter how minor, through the appropriate channels. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of grain handling experience preferred. Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Strong work ethic coupled with problem-solving and leadership skills. Maintenance experience is a plus. Willingness to obtain a 7C State Grain Fumigation License. Must have reliable transportation.
