Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacy Manager - Galena, ILWe are seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a new pharmacy location in Galena, Illinois . This role is responsible for overseeing the daily pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing pharmacy staff, and delivering high-quality patient care in a retail pharmacy environment.The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for reviewing and dispensing prescriptions, maintaining accurate medication records, managing pharmacy inventory, and ensuring all pharmacy practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will also lead and supervise pharmacy technicians, coordinate staff schedules, and maintain efficient workflow to support patient safety and service excellence.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail pharmacy management experience, and the ability to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, fraud, waste, and abuse regulations.
