Incubation Technician (Entry-Level Lab / Warehouse) – 6-Month Contract | Gainesville, GA Location: Gainesville, GA (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract Company: Sigma Inc Job ID: 37130436 Job Overview Sigma Inc is hiring an Incubation Technician to support operations in a bio-secure, laboratory-controlled environment in Gainesville, GA. This role combines lab support, warehouse operations, and production tasks to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials. This is a hands-on, physically active position ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse, manufacturing, food production, agriculture, or lab environments. Work Schedule Sunday: 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM Monday: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM Tuesday: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM Wednesday: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM Thursday: 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM Friday: 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM Key Responsibilities Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and bio-secure work environment Perform incubation processes including: Receiving, racking, setting, and candling eggs Assisting with egg delivery and processing Clean and maintain: Incubators, carts, and work areas Perform preventative maintenance in incubation areas Operate equipment such as ACI incubators and pallet jacks Support warehouse and sterilization operations, including waste management Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance procedures Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to follow written SOPs and safety procedures Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred) Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly (200–300 boxes daily) Perform bending, twisting, and lifting for extended periods Push and pull heavy carts on inclined surfaces Work in low-light environments with strong attention to detail Preferred Experience Warehouse or inventory control systems GMP or regulated work environments Lab, food production, agriculture, or poultry industry experience Biosecurity Requirement (Important) This role is in a high-security, pathogen-free environment: No contact with birds or poultry (including pets or farms) 72-hour restriction required after any avian contact Strict adherence to biosecurity, hygiene, and safety protocols
