Position Summary: We seek security personnel to assist with monitoring points of entry at race events during the season (January-November). As a member of the Security Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience. Security ensures that only ticketed or authorized visitors are allowed access to the property. There also is potential to be required to monitor activity throughout the property. Your job will be to keep our fans safe and informed while still maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere. This entails weekday, evenings, and weekend work which can include long hours outside in extreme weather, and in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor access points and entry gates throughout race events during the season (March-November) Verify that all individuals entering the property are ticketed or have proper authorization Patrol and observe activity across the property as needed Create a safe and welcoming environment for guests while keeping the atmosphere enjoyable Minimum Skills and Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age Must be flexible with meal periods Must arrive on time and ready to work at shift start Enforce all facility policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, run, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds as needed Due to the potential of operating a vehicle, must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under NHRA insurance policy Ability to work well within a team and independently Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, racers, crew members, and guests Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, racers, crew members, and guests Equal Opportunity Statement NHRA is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital status, veteran/military status, or any other protected class under federal/CA law, offering reasonable accommodations.
