Cath Lab Registered Nurse | Fruita, Colorado

An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience to provide specialized technical support within a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This contract position offers a rewarding environment to contribute to patient care during invasive cardiovascular procedures in Fruita, CO. Schedule and Work Environment: • Four 10-hour shifts per week • Weekend work required • Shared on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time Key Responsibilities: • Deliver technical support and assist physicians during cardiac and vascular invasive procedures, maintaining sterile fields as a scrub assistant • Operate imaging equipment, monitor and document procedural images and events accurately • Provide compassionate patient care under RN supervision, including education on pre- and post-procedure expectations for patients and families • Maintain unit cleanliness, ensure adequate stock levels for interventions, and comply with departmental documentation standards • Participate actively in patient safety and quality improvement efforts by identifying hazards and proposing solutions Qualifications: • Current RN license-single-state or compact license accepted • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) • Ability to respond promptly during on-call periods About the Location: Fruita, Colorado, is a picturesque community known for its scenic landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities.
