Job Summary Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Salary Rate: $26.00 Required Skills: Minimum Education and Work Experience * High school diploma or equivalent. * 1-2 years' experience or an equivalent of education and experience. Required Skills * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. * Ability to demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills * Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work. * Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships to ensure a positive and productive work environment. * Ability to provide exceptional customer service. * Basic understanding of various functions of the department. * Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures. * Knowledgeable with cleaning and sterilization procedures and techniques. * PC competency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel) * Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of items and equipment used by the department Required Licenses/Certifications * CRCST or CPSPDrequired.
