Job Description:
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN Major Responsibilities: Operate CMM utilizing PC-DMIS software of existing programs Complete & maintain detailed accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of the inspection data Maintain Plant CMM and assist Line Leads with inspection of daily production Perform gauge calibration on hand applied gauges, check fixtures, test equipment and coordinate outsourced calibrations Responsible for setting up and maintaining a durability tester once every Quarter Maintain quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices Required Technical & Soft Abilities: At least two years' experience preferred Background with editing and programing of CMM a plus Previous experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment preferred Competence in MS-Office Applications Experience reading & interpreting engineering drawing and technical specifications (GD&T) Must have strong attention to detail and good communication skills Ability to work independently Other duties as assigned Additional Proven Experience: Knowledge of quality management systems, such as IATF and other applicable standards. Working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, quality inspection methods, quality control techniques, and quality analysis software would be a plus.
