Job Description:
LABORATORY TECHNICIANMajor Responsibilities:Operate CMM utilizing PC-DMIS software of existing programsComplete & maintain detailed accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of the inspection dataMaintain Plant CMM and assist Line Leads with inspection of daily productionPerform gauge calibration on hand applied gauges, check fixtures, test equipment and coordinate outsourced calibrationsResponsible for setting up and maintaining a durability tester once every QuarterMaintain quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practicesRequired Technical & Soft Abilities:At least two years' experience preferredBackground with editing and programing of CMM a plusPrevious experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment preferredCompetence in MS-Office ApplicationsExperience reading & interpreting engineering drawing and technical specifications (GD&T)Must have strong attention to detail and good communication skillsAbility to work independentlyOther duties as assignedAdditional Proven Experience:Knowledge of quality management systems, such as IATF and other applicable standards. Working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, quality inspection methods, quality control techniques, and quality analysis software would be a plus.
