Job Description:
Position SummaryThe Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting cable and wire harness assemblies in accordance with company specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience with crimping tools, soldering techniques, and the ability to accurately read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble cable and wire harness components according to work instructions, blueprints, and schematicsPerform crimping operations using hand tools to attach terminals and connectorsExecute precision soldering on wires, connectors, and electronic componentsRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure proper assemblyInspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specificationsConduct continuity and basic electrical testing as requiredMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standardsFollow all company procedures, quality standards, and production timelinesIdentify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials or processesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required1+ years of experience in cable assembly, electronics assembly, or a related field preferredExperience with hand tools for crimping and wire preparationProficiency in soldering techniques (IPC certification a plus)Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagramsStrong attention to detail and manual dexterityBasic understanding of electrical principles and testing equipment is a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsManual dexterity to handle small components and toolsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyGood vision (with or without correction) for detailed workWork EnvironmentManufacturing or production floor environmentExposure to standard assembly tools and materialsMay require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
