Job DescriptionThe Role:The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and develops accurate job plans for each scheduled job including parts, labor, and instructions, to ensure safe and efficient maintenance to support the plant's production capabilities and the completion of capital projects. You will also determine the appropriate maintenance work to schedule through proactive communications with maintenance planning prioritizing the highest value or most critical work. You will coordinate the timing of all required resources, both internal and external, maximizing resource allocation and minimizing equipment downtime.How You Will Make an Impact:Ensure planning activities are aligned with EHS compliance requirementsDevelop work packages and templates for maintenance jobs to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance workCreate and issue preventive/predictive maintenance work orders and inspection routesReview work requests with Production to identify all potential issues/reduce added scopeMaintain accurate equipment specifications, info, parts lists (BOMs), and equipment maintenance history in ERP/CMMS and SAPPlan spare parts usage including quantity, costs, lead time, availability, etc.Provide backup support to generate a maintenance schedule within the site's scheduling tool to efficiently and effectively utilize available resourcesManage work order priorities and validate schedulesConfirm material availability and coordinate parts/materials delivery and stagingManage and achieve metrics including:Daily and Weekly Schedule AttainmentWork Order DelaysPM CompliancePlanned BacklogOverdue Work OrdersCraft Labor UtilizationParticipate in post PM and completed Work Order quality reviewsEnsure that jobs are scheduled to satisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management SystemPractice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001Creating Extraordinary Starts With:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred five years general craft experience (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument)Minimum of two years' experience in maintenance planningOperational knowledge of ERP/CMMS; experience with SAP ECC; experience with PrometheusOffice software e.g. MS OfficeAbout UsEssential Solutions with Extraordinary Results SI Group is a global leader in the innovative technology of performance additives, process solutions, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and chemical intermediates.
