A locum tenens assignment for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist specializing in Anesthesiology is available in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers a diverse case load, including OB and thoracic procedures, with an opportunity to work at both an outpatient surgery center and a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. The role features a flexible schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating call shifts providing additional variety. Key Details Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center & Hospital Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), with one call shift per 8-week schedule Patient Population: All Ages, with focus on Healthy Pediatric and OB cases Location: Fredericksburg, VA Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates Benefits Weekly direct deposit Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Supportive credentialing assistance Lodging and mileage reimbursement Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities Administer anesthesia for a diverse range of medical procedures including OB, thoracic, orthopedics, and GI Perform spinals, epidurals, and manage anesthesia in a Level 2 trauma designated environment Rotate between the main OR, satellite hospital, and surgery center Provide coverage for call shifts as scheduled Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience required Must obtain AHA Certifications and hold a valid VA license at the time of submission Experience with Level 2 trauma cases and proficiency in spinals and epidurals are a must Experience in OB, thoracic, and pediatric dental/ENT cases required Working Hours Monday-Friday, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) One call shift per 8-week schedule either 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM or weekend call 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Must be available for one holiday shift per schedule Skills Strong proficiency in anesthesia administration, particularly in Level 2 trauma, OB, and thoracic procedures Ability to manage a diversified case load independently Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate with the scheduling team and confirm shifts Capability to adapt to various clinical settings and patient needs within the facility's requirements
