Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)Location: Winn Army Community Hospital (Winn ACH)Fort Stewart, GeorgiaPosition OverviewWinn Army Community Hospital is seeking a highly qualified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to support the inpatient and outpatient neonatal mission within the Mother Baby Unit. This position plays a vital role in the care of newborns by providing comprehensive neonatal services across both inpatient and outpatient settings in support of newborn deliveries at Winn ACH.The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner may also be required to provide care at alternate outpatient locations on or off the military installation, as needed.Work ScheduleInpatient: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and federal holidaysOutpatient Clinic:Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PMExcluding federal holidaysIncludes a non-paid 60-minute breakTotal Hours: 80 hours per pay period across inpatient and outpatient servicesNote: In-processing hours may differ from standard work center shiftsCore ResponsibilitiesProvide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF)Deliver comprehensive neonatal care including screening, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and follow-up for routine, acute, and chronic conditionsAdminister immunizations and provide preventive and health maintenance servicesDiagnose and manage common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, and minor trauma in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and Nurse Practice Acts, and in collaboration with physicians as requiredPromote preventive care, healthy behaviors, and self-care through patient and family educationCollaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomesProvide clinical guidance, technical direction, and evidence-based education to staff; participate in in-service training and educational lecturesRecognize infectious or isolation-required conditions and ensure strict adherence to universal precautions and infection control standardsEducation & QualificationsEducation:Master s degree in NursingGraduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program recognized by ACEN or CCNECertification:Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the neonatal specialty through one of the following (or equivalent):American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)National Certification Corporation (NCC) or other nationally recognized neonatal certification bodiesLicensure:Current, valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in any U.S. state or territoryNo limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actionsRequired Life Support Certifications(All certifications must be current and renewed every two years at no cost to the government)Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association or American Red CrossWeb-based/online-only certifications are not acceptableWhy Join Winn ACH?This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on neonatal care while supporting military families in a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment.
