Summary This position is located at Outdoor Recreation for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York.. Incentives and BonusesIncentives will not be paid. Duties Help Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, scrubs, washes and polishes fixtures and furniture, walls, lanai glass and doors, equipment and furnishings in assigned guest rooms and other areas using a variety of cleaning solutions. Empties trash and restocks room condiments and supplies. Cleans utility, laundry and vending rooms. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation. A physical examination, arranged by the employer, is required prior to employment. Must meet the physical requirements of the position. Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment. Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities. Work schedule will be irregular, and the incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and equipment; AND Proper use of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions; AND Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment; AND Ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade; AND Ability to keep the assigned work area neat and clean; AND Good Customer Service Skills. Allowances and DifferentialsThis job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. This is NOT a regularly scheduled Flexible position as it has no guaranteed hours. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
