Powell Center Meeting Coordinator (GS3505-CO-004) ID: GS3505-CO-004 Location: Fort Collins Program: USGS Wage/Hr: $20.00 Hours/Week: 20 hrs per week/ Estimated 1040 total hours Minimum Age: 55 For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, technical, and professional support to the U.S. Geological Survey U.S. Geological Survey through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an at-will relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. Applicants must live within commutable distance to Fort Collins, CO. Qualifications: HS/GED Degree Valid Driver's License preferred Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Duties: The John Wesley Powell Center for Analysis and Synthesis has a need for an enrollee to provide assistance with meeting logistics related to hosting scientific working groups. This support includes a wide range of activities related to meeting setup such as audio-visual setups scheduling and coordinating field trips snacks and restaurant reservations as well as pre-and post meeting communications. This position will have a highly variable schedule with every other week close to full time. On-site customer service support assisting with AV connection, refreshments, local knowledge 40% Correspondence: distribute meeting materials, coordinate travel preferences 40% Light data entry and reporting using local systems 20% Other: Annual information Management and Technology Awareness training for accessing federal computer systems. Travel Requirements: local travel may be necessary for refreshment procurement (less than 5 miles) Health and Safety Considerations: The person will be setting out foods for others to consume and washing dishes; health considerations related to cleaning and disinfecting are necessary Physical requirements: Work is primarily completed indoors, occasional moving of conference room chairs, laptops and audio-visual equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
