As a Security Officer - Building Access Control in Lake Forest, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, support access control and badge procedures, and document activity using site technology. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and approved security-related procedures for an aviation and defense location. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangar and office areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and policy concerns. Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor sign-in and badge processes, and report access issues according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities as directed by site leadership and local responders. Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and customer requests, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
