The Clinical Nurse Manager organizes and directs/nthe work of nursing units and programs and coordinates staff to assure that/neffective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met using a/nmultidisciplinary team approach to care. The function of the Clinical Nurse Manager/nis to develop and maintain an environment that supports the professional nurse,/nthe patient experience, nursing students, and staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager holds 24-hour,/n7-day responsibility and accountability for staff and students participating in/nthe program. This position reports to the/nClinical Director, Medical/Surgical Services and operates within established/norganizational and departmental policies and procedures. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of/n Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school requiredPrevious/n experience in a supervisory capacity within Med/Surg required certification as a Clinical/n Nurse Leader or Nursing Administration preferredMasters of Science in Nursing from an accredited school or/n matriculation preferredCurrent Massachusettss licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse/n (RN) requiredMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years current clinical experience/n requiredExperience with the development of a DEU or similar Nursing/n University / hospital based collaborative program preferred/n Current American Heart Association BLS/n certification required ACLS required Leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, including/n proficiency in the nursing and improvement processes required.
