Job Description:
Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our transportation team. In this role, you will play a key part in securing freight opportunities, coordinating shipments, and building strong relationships with both carriers and customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery.What You'll DoSolicit and manage shipments for asset-based 3PL servicesServe as the main liaison between carriers and customers to ensure smooth transportation operationsProvide accurate freight rates and pricing solutions tailored to client needsMaintain compliance with brokerage licensing requirements in coordination with leadershipPrepare and manage financial documentation, including claims, insurance, and reportsMonitor equipment and personnel utilization to maximize efficiencyMaintain detailed and accurate records of shipments, dispatch activity, and expensesReview bills of lading for accuracy and resolve discrepanciesSupport additional transportation and logistics tasks as needed What You BringProven experience in freight brokerage, dispatching, and load planningStrong understanding of TMS platforms and 3PL operationsKnowledge of contract negotiation, sales strategies, and freight rate calculationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative processesFamiliarity with transportation safety and security protocolsWork Environment & ExpectationsOffice-based role in a collaborative, team-oriented settingOccasional evening and weekend availability may be requiredAbility to multitask and remain calm under pressureExtended periods of sitting and computer workWhy Join Us?At Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center, you'll be part of a dynamic logistics team committed to excellence, efficiency, and strong partnerships.
