This is a dynamic role that requires precision, communication, and cross-collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities Include:Category Support Lead new vendor onboarding, maintain existing vendor's data in ERP, and manage the new SKU introduction process internally Manage sample requests and act as the liaison between vendor partners and sales teams to adequately service sample requests for new business Own the purchase contract reconciliation process to ensure accurate contract balances and facilitate proper risk management on purchase obligations Assist with pricing guidance and help provide support when needed on pricing requests from sales or sales support. Manage vendor complaints from customer service and escalate when needed Order Management Execute and manage purchase orders to meet distribution requirements on drop ships and warehouse replenishment Communicate efficiently when issues arise with vendor delays, product damages, etc. to mitigate service deviations to the customer Optimize order quantities to minimize freight costs and outside warehouse storage feesManage invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy and escalate disputes when necessarySupply Chain Planning Plan & replenish inventory efficiently at various IFPC locations to best support distribution salesIdentify at-risk inventory & develop reduction initiatives along with Category Managers to limit aging inventory and ultimately disposals Monitor inventory levels to ensure that safety stocks are adequate to limit storage costs while simultaneously achieving target on-time and in-full (OTIF) metrics Work with Supply Chain Manager - Distribution to optimize 3rd party warehouse network and help manage service issues / outages The successful candidate must have the following qualifications3-5 years of purchasing, supply chain planning, and/or order management experience in a distribution environment Able to telecommute responsiblyAbility to make independent decisions on purchases and inventory that carry a medium to high level of risk and millions of dollars Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and on project teamsExceptional organizational skills, including excellent follow through habits, the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and solid problem-solving skillsStrong analytical, critical thinking, & problem-solving skills Proficient in MS Suite, with an emphasis on Excel We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
