Experienced Fire Alarm Technician

Job Summary Join Fortune Electrical as a skilled Fire Alarm Technician, where your expertise will be pivotal in protecting lives and property. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems are inspected, tested, maintained, and repaired in compliance with local, state, and national fire codes. Your contribution will make a significant impact on safety and security. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections, tests, and maintenance of fire alarm systems based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and local regulations Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm panels, devices, and wiring Implement system upgrades and modifications to enhance performance Conduct sensitivity testing and replace batteries as necessary Program fire alarm control panels and related devices for optimal functionality Maintain precise service records and comprehensive inspection reports Communicate system status and provide informed recommendations to customers Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies Provide emergency service calls as required Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical training is preferred) Minimum 13 years of experience with fire alarm systems In-depth knowledge of NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams proficiently Valid driver's license Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Preferred Certifications NICET Certification (Level III) in Fire Alarm Systems FASA/BASA Certification OSHA safety training Skills & Abilities Excellent attention to detail Strong communication and customer service skills Capable of working independently Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in diverse environments Fortune Electrical provides an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, vacation, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan with an excellent company match.
